Pedro Guerrero began his photographic career in 1939 when Frank Lloyd Wright retained him, at the age of twenty-two, to document his buildings and the Taliesin Fellowship of architects. Guerrero continued to record Wright's work over the next two decades, until the architect's death in 1959.

Guerrero's photographs of Wright appear in Picturing Wright: An Album from Frank Lloyd Wright's Photographer (1994, Pomegranate Artbooks) and have been shown in books, magazines and exhibitions in the United States and abroad.

The first of Guerrero's Calder photographs were collected in the book Calder (1966, Van Nostrand). Guerrero's photographs have appeared in numerous other books and exhibitions since then, including the book Calder's Universe (1976, Viking). Among other subjects photographed by Guerror is Sculptor Louise Nevelson.
